As I was reading one of my favourite book blogs A Library of my Own and another book list caught my eye. NPR's top 100 Science Fiction/Fantasy book list. I have always been a fan of fantasy/science fiction be it in movies or books so I would love to read more of the books on this list. Does anyone have any favourites they would recommend or comments about any of the books on the list or one ones that are missing?? Let me know! I have put a * beside the ones I have read. I have only read 6/100 so I have my work cut out for me.

Oh awesome! I read The Left Hand of Darkness in high school and my friend and I loved it. Such an interesting book. I can't wait to see what you all think of it. And it's not incredibly long either. I <3 Connie Willis so I would recommend The Doomsday Book. How was The Mists of Avalon? I've been needing to read that one. I love Arthur legend stuff too.
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to reading The Left Hand of Darkness and seeing what my book club thinks of it, we haven't really done too much science fiction. The Mists of Avalon was amazing, it was one of those books that I was very sad to see the end of!
ReplyDeleteOhhh so many options...I would have to say that of all the books here, of the ones I have read, Enders Game would be the first to read if you haven't read it. Absolutely amazing. My boyfriend's not much of a reader, but I gave it to him and he couldn't put it down. Finished it in a day.
ReplyDeleteOther than that, Feist's Riftwar Saga was wonderful. More fantasy, obviously, but greatly entertaining.
